Volunteer to be your Community's Liaison!

International Doodle Owners Group

Community Liaison

The Community Liaison will be the contact person for their state or province (also referred to as their community).

A Community Liaison may have other people helping in the community, especially if it is a large area.  The goal is to have at least one representative per community.

The Community Liaison would either coordinate or provide support for someone who is coordinating doodle romps.

The Community Liaison would have access to communicate from IDOG.Biz Where You Live section, which will be set up just for them. They may use that section as their community home page or as a portal to their separate web site.

The Community Liaison could also gather doodle owner recommended professionals information that can be listed on the community home page. The liaison could add the websites of your community’s shelters or vendors they feel would be beneficial to doodle owners and their dogs.

The Community Liaison would be able to list a doodle in their community on the Rehome/Rescue section of IDOG.

Ideally a Community Liaison would gather the names and e-mail addresses of members of their community. If community specific information needed to be sent out, the liaison would do the announcement.

All the  Community Liaisons would work together as needed. If the liaison from Maryland needs to learn something from Iowa, the Maryland liaison could contact the Iowa liaison. The Iowa liaison could then either provide that information or see if someone in his or her community would be able to help.

The Community Liaison could be the person that would be the first contacted if we as a doodle community needed or wanted to do something as a group.

The Community Liaison would have access to resources and the experiences of other Community Liaisons to help and support them.

The Community Liaison can provide for the community as much or as little as they would like.

The Community Liaison would strive to not be negative or mean spirited. They should a person who is welcoming and can help people feel like they are a part of the doodle community.

Each community can operate as they wish however, they may not structure the community to be for financial gain. They must operate their community in the same spirit as the International Doodle Owners Group.

If you would like to be your Community's Liaison, please contact Director@IDOG.Biz

Special Note to Breeders:

You are very welcome to be a Community Liaison. We do require you to understand that being a Liaison is a social program and that ALL breeders and doodle owners should feel welcome. You can not profit or sponsor a doodle event utilizing your kennel.

Also, effectively immediately, we require all breeders who volunteer as a Liaison or with any of our IDOG programs to agree to operate their breeding program at or above the IDOG Breeder Code of Ethics. Please refer to our Breeder Code of Ethics and then complete the Volunteer Breeder Agreement.

Being a volunteer of IDOG means that you are a representative of the organization and to maintain our standards and operate our programs within our mission we will require all breeders to adhear to our requirements.
